Working at Future Focus has been tremendously fulfilling and has provided me with a sense of belonging and purpose. What I love most is the time spent supporting individuals and being able to witness their amazing capabilities. I am continuously learning and growing from the individuals and my coworkers, which has helped me grow and gain confidence in myself. I am proud to work here and provide care and support while also having a whole lot of fun doing so.

My son who loves attending the program, which says a lot. The team have been a consistent positive support and the impact in my child’s life is notable. As a parent I am so thankful for a safe place that is accommodating, knowledgeable, and fun. Thank you, Future Focus, for providing opportunities for my son to participate in his community.

I have had the pleasure of working with the individuals I support at Future Focus for the past 20 years. Typically I will last about 4 years at a job before getting bored or needing a change. The people I support are unique and so is their programming. Their schedules and routines are based on their wishes, desires dreams, aspirations, needs and what works for them. They are always busy and never bored.

Their programs can include life-skills development, employment skills, fitness, recreation, academics, field trips or whatever they wish. Assisting them to reach their goals, problem solving, and helping them to improve their lives keeps me happy and present. It might sounds corny but its more like a family atmosphere instead of WORK.

I am so grateful for the work you do every week, distributing the posters from Strathcona Gardens. It is a great service to the community. It highlights our programs and special events to those that are shopping in local businesses and service providers.
