I am happy with what l am doing at Future Focus, because l am investing my time in people, and God asked me to look after my fellow man. I also work to earn money to take care of my children and myself. Thank you.
“I like to go out places in the community. I like my scheduled activities”
“I like the Future Focus Program. I do!. Coping with the breeze, I do. I like to do my typing”
“Doing arts and crafts, hanging with my friends and staff”
“Program, swimming, keeping people safe. I like the gym”
I enjoy having a positive role in the lives of those we support. At Future Focus I am encouraged to do my best to help others live their best lives

I am uplifted and inspired daily by the thoughtfulness, energy, creativity, and joy our clients exhibit at Bridges. I have come to develop close bonds with many of them. As a counselling student, I am grateful for the valuable experience working with people with IDD, and I hope to continue to be a resource for folks with IDD in our community after my time at Bridges ends.

I have had the pleasure of working with the individuals I support at Future Focus for the past 20 years. Typically I will last about 4 years at a job before getting bored or needing a change. The people I support are unique and so is their programming. Their schedules and routines are based on their wishes, desires dreams, aspirations, needs and what works for them. They are always busy and never bored.
Their programs can include life-skills development, employment skills, fitness, recreation, academics, field trips or whatever they wish. Assisting them to reach their goals, problem solving, and helping them to improve their lives keeps me happy and present. It might sounds corny but its more like a family atmosphere instead of WORK.
I like coming everyday. It is a fun Day Program-it is a friendly place. I got a good staff here. I like to go on a work crew. I like to go to Rosewood.
I recently began working for Future Focus as a Personal Support Worker. I didn’t have any prior experience with individuals who have special needs. This company is eager to provide training and professional development so that their employees can develop the skills to best serve their clients.
I would never have guessed how fulfilling and eye-opening this type of work could be. I have gained an insight about humanity that I could not have found in another workplace. The compensation for this work is also generous and the team is very helpful and kind. I am grateful to have found my place here.
I get to go and do a lot of stuff in the community, like going to NIC. I get to do fun activities, like going to the library and the work out gym. I get to do IPP’s and set my own goals. The people at Bridges are very friendly. We are all friends at Bridges. If you have a problem or can’t work things out, you can talk to a staff member to help you in problem solving.
